Here's a screen shot from my Mr Rebates cash back account, showing some of my recent cash back earning from referral bonuses.  This is from other people shopping online.  I referred them to Mr Rebates, so I get a 20% referral bonus every time they shop online and they earn cash back rebates from Mr Rebates.    My referral bonus is paid from Mr Rebates, NOT out of the shopper's cash back.  They earn the same cash back amount whether someone referred them or not.

I love it when I get a large chunk of cash back from someone's online shopping order.  Look at some of the big cash back amounts I've earned recently.  $56.91 on 3/20/2012, $59.40 on 3/14/2012, and $24.20 on the 13th.  If I'm getting this much in referral cash back, that means the shopper is getting $284.55, $297, and $121, respectively.  That's a lot of cash back on one purchase!

Mr Rebates just paid me $560.90

Ah, the first of the month!  The magic day when I receive my Mr Rebates cash back money.  Most of this money if from my referral bonus earnings, which is the referral bonuses I earn when someone whom I have referred to Mr Rebates makes an online purchase earning themselves cash back.  Then I get an additional 20% of the amount of cash back they received.  My 20% is paid from Mr Rebates' pocket, not from my referral.  They still get the entire amount of cash back as stated on the Mr Rebates website for the store they were shopping at on that day.

I didn't request any money in November or December 2011, so this is actually Nov, Dec, and January's available cash back (after the standard 90 day hold period).  Even though it's three months worth of referral rebates I still really happy with the amount!  That's more than I made in all of 2011.

And even after receiving this payment my pending balance is still over $500, which means I'll be paid another $500 in the next 90 days.  And my earning just continue to grow as I refer more and more new shoppers to the Mr Rebates program.

2011 Mr Rebates Referral Commissions per Month Earned

Here's a nice little summary of the number of new referrals I made in 2011 to the Mr Rebates cash back website.  It also showing the amount of referral commissions I earned per month.  My total referral commission earned for 2011 was $1313.04.  This is only my referral commissions, it does not include any of my own cash back rebates I've received for my personal or business online shopping.

I've entered the data in the month it was earned, then it sits as pending for 90 prior to being able to be paid out to me.  So the numbers for earning correlate with payments 90 days later.  Although sometimes I don't request the cash back to be paid out right away when it's available.

What I like about the Mr Rebates Referral program is that once you refer a new member, you continue to earn referral bonuses every time that new member shops online through Mr Rebates.  As opposed to the way Ebates pays their referrals bonuses ($5 after the shopper makes their first $25 purchase), I like this referral model much better.  I am still earning commission today from someone that I referred back in 2009.  If you are lucky enough to sign up someone who shops online A LOT, then you can earn a lot of referral commissions from that one shopper.

Also, over time, as you refer more and more people, your commissions should continue to increase per month, just from the numbers standpoint.  For example, if about 20% of your referrals place an order a month, and you have 100 referrals, then you'll earn commission on about 20 different orders.  But now fast forward a few years and let's say you now have 500 referrals under your account.  If you still average about 20% of those people ordering something that month, now you are earning commissions on about 100 different purchases.

I'm not sure what my average number of referral purchases is per month in comparison to how many referrals I have, but maybe I'll make a chart for that too.  It would be nice to use for goal setting purposes.

My Mr Rebates Pending Payments is almost $600

My pending cash back rebates on my Mr Rebates account has surpassed the $500 mark and is almost $600.  These pending rebates will become available to be paid out to me over the next 90 days.  Every day that goes by, some of the money moves from the "pending" column to the "available" column, as 90 days passes from when the online purchase was made.  This 90 hold is placed on all rebates to ensure that people don't try to scam the system by buying products, collecting their cash back rebates, and then returning the items purchased.

Once you have at least $10 in "available rebates", you can request for your cash back to be paid out to you by either check or Paypal. Here's a YouTube video tutorial on how to request your Mr Rebates payment.  After your request, your rebates will be sent on the next 1st of the month.  I usually request it on the 30th or 31st and they send my money by Paypal the next day on the 1st.

Of this $581.80 that's in the pending rebates, only $14.98 was from my own online shopping.  The rest is from referrals, whom I have about 150 referrals on my account right now.  That means that anytime any one of the 150 people who have joined Mr Rebates from one of my referral links buys something online using Mr Rebates, they get cash back for their purchases, and I get a bonus from Mr Rebates equal to 20% of the cash back paid to the referral shopper.  My 20% bonus money is paid by Mr Rebates, it doesn't come from the referral shopper's portion.  The referral still gets ALL of their cash back that is due to them.

The referral program is a win-win for everyone.  You are helping people save money on their online purchases by showing them how Mr Rebates has thousands of coupon codes and gives out cash back rebates for shopping online.  And you are getting a referral bonus for showing them how Mr Rebates works!

• Ebates New Referrals (who made a $25+ purchase) - 15    I had many more new signups, but I don't earn any referral commissions unless the new sign up makes at least a $25 online purchase, so I only report the sign ups for Ebates who are "qualified".  Each one of these "qualified referrals" earns me $5.

Also Ebates just started a new referral bonus period that will run from Oct 1- Dec 31.  This is a great time for Christmas Shoppers who have never heard of cash back websites to sign up.  With my 15 qualified referrals in October already I'm doing well for this bonus period.  The bonus incentives are as follows (in addition to the $5 per person you normally get).  Please note you only are paid for the highest level you achieve (NOT cumulative).
Refer 5 people = get extra $75

My pending rebates just surpassed $400

I logged into my Mr Rebates account today to look at my referral earnings and I was happy to see that my "pending" cash back rebates has surpassed the $400 mark. That means that in the next 90 days I'll be paid out over $400! Yipee.  My own purchases account for $13.56 of that. So the remaining $387.47 is all referral commissions!

I'll be paid out more than $400 in the next 3 months from Mr Rebates!

I just updated my Cash Back Website Referral Commission Report with my new September 2011 numbers.
Mr Rebates Cash Back Website Referral Program:
I had 24 new signups to the Mr Rebates Cash Back Website, and I earned a total of $213.12 in referral commissions from other people shopping (and earning cash back for themselves) during the month of September. My own cashback shopping is NOT included in that number.

The $213.12 is significant because it is the first time I have exceeded by goal of having an average of $150 per month in referral commissions by the end of the calender year 2011.  However, I did have one shopper who made a big purchase and also got a big % in cash back, so my referred shopper got a cash back rebate of $352.41, giving me a referral bonus of $70.48 just from that one shopper's purchase. If I would not have had that big commission my earnings would have been closer to $142, which is almost to my goal of at least $150 per month, which is still a great improvement.

I attribute my increase in referral sign ups (resulting in more shoppers, and thus more cash back referral opportunies from their purchases) to an increase in my postings about cash back deals and coupon codes on my blog Cash Back Websites.  I started that blog as my main way to get the word out about these great cash back programs, helping others save money on their online shopping purchases, and earning me a little bit of online income.

I reached the $250 bonus level for the Ebates Cash Back Referral program's quarterly bonus incentive contest.  I referred 27 new sign ups (over 4 months), which I get $5 per sign up, plus because I referred more than 25 people, I qualified for the $250 cash back bonus.
