September 2011 Earnings Report
I just updated my Cash Back Website Referral Commission Report with my new September 2011 numbers.
Mr Rebates Cash Back Website Referral Program:
I had 24 new signups to the Mr Rebates Cash Back Website, and I earned a total of $213.12 in referral commissions from other people shopping (and earning cash back for themselves) during the month of September. My own cashback shopping is NOT included in that number.

The $213.12 is significant because it is the first time I have exceeded by goal of having an average of $150 per month in referral commissions by the end of the calender year 2011.  However, I did have one shopper who made a big purchase and also got a big % in cash back, so my referred shopper got a cash back rebate of $352.41, giving me a referral bonus of $70.48 just from that one shopper's purchase. If I would not have had that big commission my earnings would have been closer to $142, which is almost to my goal of at least $150 per month, which is still a great improvement.

I attribute my increase in referral sign ups (resulting in more shoppers, and thus more cash back referral opportunies from their purchases) to an increase in my postings about cash back deals and coupon codes on my blog Cash Back Websites.  I started that blog as my main way to get the word out about these great cash back programs, helping others save money on their online shopping purchases, and earning me a little bit of online income.

I've earned a $250 Bonus!

Thanks to Ebates who extended its Refer-A-Friend Bonus period by one month (until 9/30/11), I've made a few more referrals and will qualify for the $250 Bonus Level. 20 New Mr Rebates Sign Ups in August 2011

I just updated my blog post where I list my referral sign ups Goals and Actual New Signups for Mr Rebates. I'm happy to report that I had 20 new signups for Mr Rebates in August 2011! Yeah. This surpased my goal of 12 signups, and made up for not hitting my goals for June and July.  Hopefully the rest of the year I'll reach my goals.  Read my Mr Rebates referral goals here

Each new signup is a potential passive income source stream for me. If the new signups using Mr Rebates cash back website to earn free cash back for their online shopping purchases, Mr Rebates pays me a 20% referral fee (20% of the shopper's cash back amount - at NO COST to the new shopper). Since it's paid from Mr Rebates pocket, the new online cash back shopper still gets their entire cash back rebate.  And since Mr Rebates pays me EVERY time that shopper makes a purchase, if the new referral keeps shopping online and earning cash back from Mr Rebates, I keep getting paid too! A new passive income source for me!

One particular online shopper may only make me $0.10 at a time, however some shopper make me much more, as you can see from my screen printout here, today I logged in to see that one shopper made a $3524.07 purchase, giving them a cash back rebate of $352.41, and giving me a referral rebate of $70.48!!

Here's an updated screenshot of my Mr Rebates Cash Back account payments I've received. Life to date I've received $465.77 to my Paypal account, plus I have another $218.09 that's pending and will be available to be paid out in the next 30-90 days.

Mr Rebates is free to join and pays up to 30% cash back at more than 2000 online stores. You can also earn money by referring others. You'll get 20% of their cash back amount at no cost to them. (You referral cash back comes out of Mr Rebates pocket, not the referred shoppers cashback).

Here's an updated payment screenshot of all my earnings I've received from the Ebates Cash Back website from October 2010 - August 2011. A total of $844.75! Not bad for FREE MONEY! How did I do this? Mainly from referring others and telling them that they can save up to 20% Cash Back on their online purchases. They are happy to receive the savings and get cash back on their online shopping, and Ebates pays me $5 for every referral. Plus Ebates normally has a referral bonus contest every quarter in which you can earn an extra $15, $30, $100, $250, and more simply by referring others during the contest period (usually lasts 3 months).

Increasing my Online Passive Income from Mr Rebates Cashback

I have been very happy with my online income I've been receiving from my Mr Rebates referrals, but I would like to double the amount of passive income I'm currently receiving. I think I can accomplish this if I double the number of shoppers I refer to Mr Rebates to get cashback on their shopping purchases.

If you haven't heard, Mr Rebates pays cashback for online shopping at more than 2000 stores. And in addition to paying cashback to shoppers, Mr Rebates will also pay their members a referral bonus for spreading the word about Mr Rebates and referring new members. 

When I refer someone to use Mr Rebates, that new member gets a $5 sign up bonus, plus they start getting cashback on all their online shopping purchases. Because I referred them to the website, Mr Rebates rewards me by paying me 20% of the amount of cashback amount that the shopper gets (while still paying the FULL amount to my referral shopper). This 20% referral bonus is where I am getting passive income. I am paid that commission every time my referral shops through Mr Rebates, both now and in the future, for the life of their account at Mr Rebates. The more shoppers I have referred, the greater my passive income!

I really didn't start talking about Mr Rebates and sharing how great it is to get cashback on shopping until June 2010.  From June 2010-December 2010, I referred 43 new members, in addition to 5 referral members I had from 2009. So my total referrals were 48 shoppers. From January 2011 - May 2011, I've referred another 41 shoppers, making my total referral shoppers 89. That's an average of about 7 new referrals each month in the last year (June 2010-May 2011).  I would like to increase this average and get at least 12-13 new shoppers each month for the remainder of 2011. That would double my number of referral shoppers, and hopefully double the amount of referral bonuses I'm getting.
